strange film. i don't remember when I saw it for the first time, but i probably didn't get it at all, barely finished watching it and immediately forgot about it.

this time, my impression is better. the basic plot is not bad, with many avenues for development, but the middle (basically most of the film) seemed a bit boring. of course, i liked the dialogues, but it was still not interesting enough. last 25 minutes are good. my overall impression is strange; I wanted to like it, but it didn't quite work out.

i really like all the actors though, they did an outstanding job, especially my favourite, Reece Shearsmith, whom I didn't know when i first watched it, but now I've watched all 9 seasons of Inside No. 9, two seasons of Psychoville and four seasons of The League of Gentlemen.

i don't understand this film in general. nevertheless, I managed to enjoy how beautifully it was shot. it looks gorgeous in black and white.
