Common Side Effects (season 1, 2025). 10 episodes, 20 minutes each. created by Joseph Bennett and Steve Hely. after years of searching, an enthusiast finds a rare mushroom that can cure any disease, but now he is being pursued by all the three-letter agencies and Big Pharma.
a good animated series from Adult Swim. Joseph Bennett is also a creator, producer, and director of the first episode of the excellent animated series Scavengers Reign (2023). in Common Side Effects Mike Judge is listed as the producer, and he voices one of the characters. Alan Resnick is also in the voice cast. all of these names have appeared in cult and obscure niche projects that I love.
i definitely liked this series. it has a clear and interesting story, strong characters, a touch of mysticism, and a good foundation for a second season. plus, it's only 2 hours long, so it's easy and entertaining to watch.
